The Black Diamond Lodge is situated in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, just 25 miles north of Durango, Colorado. With Purgatory Ski Resort just a short (free!) shuttle-ride away, and year-round exploration opportunities right out our back door, this hotel-style vacation rental offers the perfect blend of outdoor activities and indoor amenities.

Our big crazy family had our Family Reunion here. Upon our arrival (those of us who are on time), we were greeted by Amber! She caught onto our family banter quickly and went through the Do’s & Don'ts. There were 50 of us, so we certainly needed this.

    **Note** You can pass this rate on to your guests! No need to fuss with venmo or cash— we can take individual payments from your guests so you can enjoy your stay.

  • We sleep 46 people in 12 rooms and include access to a community kitchen, large game room, media room, breakfast room and relaxation area with three hot tubs, a sauna and steam room.

    There are also many privately rented (not rented by us) condos nearby that are able to sleep an additional 100+ guests.

  • Yes! We have a flexible payment structure that allows guests to pay us directly, so groups almost always pass all lodging costs directly to their guests.

  • We do not have an elevator, but many of our lodging rooms are on the ground floor. We have successfully accommodated guests with wheelchairs, and are happy to discuss options with groups in need of special accommodations.

  • We are so so excited you found us on Airbnb and VRBO. We use these third party booking systems to help blow out our last minute dates. You'll find that our dates less than 90 days out are priced around $2000 + fees. If a date is less than 30 days out, *lucky you*, because we drop our rate to $2500/night + fees (sometimes lower for the REALLY lucky ones).
