Snow-capped Mountains

One of our favorite moments from the day was gathering everyone together for a group photo with the snow-capped San Juan Mountains stretching across the horizon behind them. The backdrop was breathtaking on its own, but what made the photo truly special was the joy radiating from every single person in it. Friends and family cheered, laughed, and celebrated the newlyweds, creating a moment that felt just as meaningful as it looked.

After the photo, guests made the scenic walk back to the lodge, soaking in the mountain views, crisp alpine air, and the excitement of the celebration ahead. It wasn't just a transition between events, it became an experience of its own. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed across the meadow, and the mountains seemed to put on a show just for the occasion. It was one of those simple, unscripted moments that perfectly captured what we love most about weddings at Black Diamond Lodge: incredible scenery, meaningful connections, and memories that linger long after the day is over.
