Make the Most of Your Wedding Morning

One of our favorite parts of a wedding day isn't the ceremony or the reception. It's the quiet hours before everything begins.

At The Black Diamond Lodge, you're surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in Colorado, so why spend the entire morning in a chair getting ready? While hair and makeup are certainly part of the day, we've seen some of our couples intentionally carve out time for experiences they'll remember long after the wedding.

For Mackenzie and Jack, that meant making the mountains part of their wedding story. Before getting dressed, Mackenzie surprised her dad with a fly fishing trip that quickly turned into a memorable adventure thanks to an unexpected flat tire. She also squeezed in a morning hike with friends before heading back to the lodge to get ready. Meanwhile, Jack spent the morning exploring with his family and closest friends, soaking in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the slower pace of the day.

Those moments became some of the most meaningful memories of the entire weekend. One of the greatest advantages of hosting your wedding at The Black Diamond Lodge is that you're not rushing from one location to another.
