Coffee on the Deck and a Snowy Walk to Start the Day

One of the things we love most about hosting weddings at Black Diamond Lodge is seeing how couples choose to start their day here.

While many opt for a quiet morning apart or a slow start getting ready with their people, Carly and Chris chose something a little different. They spent nearly the entire morning together, beginning with coffee on the deck, taking in the mountain views with just the two of them. It gave them space to settle in, shake off any nerves, and ease into the day in a way that felt natural.

From there, they headed out for a snowy walk to fully take in the setting. Their photographer joined them, capturing a few of those early moments as the day began to unfold.

It’s a simple shift from tradition, but one that can completely change the pace of the day, creating time to connect before everything else begins.
